ACC Tech's Busy Summer
Summer is typically a busier time of year for everyone with cookouts, outdoor activities, and general enjoyment of the sun’s presence until winter rears its head (which can be brutal in Central New York, of course). In particular, the past couple of months have been full of events that ACC Tech has hosted and attended. Below is a recap of them.
CenterState CEO Business After Hours Networking at NBT Stadium
On June 1, we went to the Business After Hours networking event put on by CenterState CEO, met fellow CenterState members, and chatted with them about their technology needs.
We also had everyone guess how many keyboard keys were in the jar (pictured above); the closest guess won a gift certificate for free services from ACC! To keep the mystery alive, we’re not spilling the beans (or keys) on the actual count. If you attend the CenterState CEO clambake on August 3, you’ll have a chance to submit your own guess.
Jewish Community Center of Syracuse Annual Meeting & Gala
At Owera Vineyards on June 7, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Syracuse had their annual meeting and gala to celebrate the achievements of the past year, look ahead to the next year, and recognize individuals for their hard work within the organization.
The ACC team got dolled up and joined to show our support for the work JCC does for the community!
Annual CNY Fraud Conference
One week later, we had two events on the same day, the first of which was the CNY Fraud Conference hosted by Dannible & McKee. Michael Cretaro, one of our team members who specializes in cybersecurity/IT risk management and business growth, presented to the audience on cybersecurity fraud and how to mitigate the risks to protect their business.
Michael will be speaking at future local events, but if you have a particular event you’d like to invite him to, let us know.
Tech Talk at Justin’s Grill
While Michael was presenting on his topics at the Doubletree by Hilton, we were close by at Justin’s Grill hosting a lunch and learn with Nimble Storage and Veeam Software. For a couple of hours, we geeked out over predictive flash storage and backup integrations between Nimble and Veeam—all over some delicious food. We enjoyed meeting new folks and seeing familiar faces!
ACC 4th of July Cookout
IT never stops, so our office was open on July 3, but we managed to get the team together outside the office for a fun cookout. The weather was perfect (contrary to all of the rain we’ve had so far this year!), and the team enjoyed burgers, chicken spiedies, potato salad, fruit salad, and homemade pickles, among other treats.
